【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the association between the risk of nonsmall cell lung cancers and polymorphism and gene frequency of XRCC 2 C41657T and G4234C in north Chinese Han population. METHODS: The single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the C41657T and G4234C in the XRCC 2 gene were genotyped by PCRRFLP analysis in 226 nonsmall cell lung cancer patients and 300 healthy controls. RESULTS: There was XRCC 2 gene C41657T and G4234C polymorphism in north Chinese Han population. The genotype and allelotype distributions of the XRCC 2 C41657T and G4234C SNPs in the nonsmall cell lung cancer patients were not significantly different from those of the controls (all P
