　　Values of old buildings:

　　建筑價值：retention of strctual guidance and authenticity;

　　文化價值：nation’s heritage/precious memories;

　　經濟價值：cost less/increased commercial value.

　　Preserving historic buildings is essential to understand our nation’s hertiage. It is likely to keep the old buildings all the time to remind people of the history of a city. A unique city should have its own historic spots. (歷史文化)

　　In addition, it is an environmentally responsible practice. By reusing existing buildings, historic preservation is essentially a recycling program of “historic” proportions.(建筑環境)

　　While some people argue that there are places covered with messy and unordered old buildings. For example, the central district of Beijing is filled with a large number of shabby houses, which actually bring inconvenience to some people.(讓步)
