　　1.注重練習

　　The SSAT is just like other standardized tests: if you practice, you will feel more confident that you'll do well.

　　SSAT考試和其他標準考試一樣，在練習中考生能夠掌握各種題型的答題方法，同時也會更加自信。

　　2.加強閱讀量

　　The best way to build your vocabulary and to get a better sense for the meanings of unfamiliar words is to see them in the context of other words.

　　增加詞匯量和理解詞匯在具體情境中的含義的最佳方式就是通過閱讀，從字里行間中體會詞匯的含義和用法。

　　3.重視自己的弱項

　　If you know you are weak in a particular subject, get help before you take the test.If you know that math is your weakest subject, make sure you address it as soon as you can. Begin early and practice every day if possible until your skills improve.

　　如果考生在考前能夠明確自己的弱項科目，那么在備考前期就要制定好詳細的備考計劃。假如某個考生平時數(shù)學部分相對較弱，那么在備考前期就可以作為重點進行學習，經(jīng)過每天的練習相信會有很大的提升。

　　4.考前做好充分的準備

　　The night before the test, gather everything you need: your admission ticket, pencils, a snack, etc. This will allow you time in the morning to eat a healthy breakfast and review, if necessary.

　　在考試的前一天，考生應該準備好所有需要的考試物品，比如：考試相關證件(準考證，護照)，鉛筆，零食等。

　　5.考前注意休息

　　We can't stress enough the importance of trying to relax and get plenty of sleep the night before your exam.

　　考場保持放松的心情和良好的狀態(tài)對考生的發(fā)揮非常重要，因此考生在考前幾天一定要注重休息，調整好自己的睡眠時間，以便考試當天保持良好的狀態(tài)。

　　6.考試當天提前到達

　　Make sure you read our rules on what to bring to the test center on test day. Find out exactly when to leave your house to arrive at the facility at least 30 minutes ahead of start time.

　　考生確保考試當天的出發(fā)時間，至少能夠提前30分鐘到達考場。

　　7.保持放松的心情

　　Your attitude and outlook will be reflected in the outcome of the test. Stay confident and calm throughout your exam. If you start to feel nervous or anxious, take a few deep breaths to collect yourself.

　　考生當天的心情會在很大程度上影響考場的發(fā)揮，因此在考試當天考生一定要保持放松的心情，考前做幾個深呼吸，避免緊張焦慮的狀態(tài)。

　　8.調整好做題速度

　　Don't spend too much time on one question, and don't speed through carelessly. If you get stuck on a question, skip it and return to it later if you have time (be sure to leave the bubble unmarked on your answer sheet for this question!) Read each question carefully and answer accurately.

　　在考場答題時，不要因為擔心時間不夠而一味的追求做題速度，這樣反而會影響答題的正確率。如果考生遇到不會的題目，也不要花費太多時間進行分析，可以先放下繼續(xù)做下面的題目，如果還有時間的話再返回去思考，也許這個時候會有新的思路。

　　9.禁止作弊行為

　　Think that you can beat the system? Don't try it. Your future is at stake. One test score isn't worth a blot on your file.

　　在SSAT考場上如果被發(fā)現(xiàn)有任何違規(guī)行為，后果是非常嚴重的，也不僅關系到考生個人的誠信問題，還可能會影響考生日后的發(fā)展。

　　10.不要過分擔心考試分數(shù)

　　Remember that SSAT scores are only one part of the picture the admissions staff sees.

　　考生需要注意的是，SSAT考試成績只是院校考察學生能力的一個衡量標準，并不是唯一的標準，成績固然重要，但是考生也不要因為成績不理想而完全失去信息。
